Loving my Brooks Adapt Running Gloves/Mittens!

Yesterday was by first day of running in tights this fall. It definitely cooled off quite a bit this morning with the arrival of this weekend’s Nor’Easter. Like most runners, I have embraced the cooler temperatures and decreasing humidity that comes with fall in New England. Yesterday was also the inaugural run for my Brooks Adapt running gloves. Brooks Adapt Running GloveI do not have very good circulation in my hands and feet (Raynaud’s), so colder running weather definitely means gloves for me.

I had researched these gloves online and managed to track down a pair of smalls at my local running store. These gloves are super comfy and have a wind-blocking mitten that you can pull down to cover your fingers. When you just want to wear gloves, the mitten cover tucks back into a fold on the top of your hand.

There are a couple of different color combinations for the mitten part– black, nightlife yellow, and nightlife green (3M Scotchlite reflective). I opted for the nightlife green, because I think any extra visibility on the roads is always a bonus.

Another cool feature is the mp3 thumb pad and a flip-back thumb. I usually run with my iPhone, so this was definitely a helpful feature. There is also a cool little magnet tag on the top of each glove to keep them sticking together in your running bag.
