I decided to make Wednesdays bump day here on the blog, for anyone who is curious about how pregnancy (and running while pregnant) is going.
I am now 11 weeks—almost out of the first trimester. Although my stomach still gets queasy, I have been able to keep up with running about 4-5 days a week. I am happy to report that I am at about 3 miles per run. I haven’t decided if I will try to go further or hold steady at 3.
One thing I have noticed is I do get hotter faster, so I make sure to carry water even on short runs and go slow. It sounds cheesy, but I am so happy to be running consistently after my little 2 month hiatus. Even though I’m slower, the endorphins are still flowing. I have also used by inhaler once in awhile if I’m short of breath–another thing I have noticed about running while pregnant!
I am going to celebrate bump day with a giveaway. For those of you that have already had little ones, you know that the Bumbo seat comes up huge when your baby is old enough to sit, but still a little wobbly. You can put toys and snacks on the little tray and keep them occupied while you make a mad dash to get stuff done around the house!
One of the changes I noticed in this Bumbo (compared to the one we had with my second son) is the safety belt. I think it’s a great idea to keep your baby from potentially sliding out of the seat. I also love the removable snack/play tray (we didn’t have this on our other one). I can’t wait to put it to good use!
30 Something Mother Runner received a Bumbo Floor Seat and tray (I was already a fan ) and one to give away to a lucky reader.
