Mother’s Day– that special day of the year when your children bicker more than ever, refuse to clean up after themselves and behave like wild animals. All kidding aside, sometimes it’s nice to have a Mother’s Day celebration where you can kick back and relax and enjoy a nice glass of wine. That’s what my mom and I did this Mother’s Day weekend at a local wine festival, and we capped off the evening with a cool and flavorful glass of Butter, as in JaM Cellars Butter Chardonnay. This delicious wine has won a Gold medal in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (January 2017), and it was named “Impact Hot Brand” for 2016!
A quote from second-generation Napa Valley vintners John and Michele (the “J” and “M” in the label) sums up our Mother’s Day celebration perfectly:
“We take our wines seriously; we just don’t take ourselves seriously!” – JaM Cellars
It was so nice to get away from everything and just spend time together– talking without interruptions and enjoying a bite to eat. As I’ve gotten older, I have a new appreciation for
everything I put my own mother through what it takes to raise your children and what it means to be a mother. The journey of motherhood that she has already traveled has taken on a whole new meaning!
So this Mother’s Day, put your feet up and relax (it’s even better if you’re alone or with your own mother or another important mother in your life!) and enjoy a smooth, creamy glass of Butter. You’ve earned it! My mom and I enjoyed a pampering afternoon of wine and hors d’oeuvres!
