These Are Definitely Not Mom Jeans!

This weekend was a great weekend for shopping. With my birthday money burning a hole in my pocket, I set off in search of some new items for my wardrobe overhaul. A new pair (or two) of jeans was definitely on the top of my list.

I checked one of the TJ Maxx’s near me that usually has a decent selection of designer jeans for a deep discount (if you are from Rhody, it’s the TJ Maxx on Bald Hill Road). After rifling through the racks, I picked up about six pairs to try on—but I was unsuccessful. I did find a great Earl Jeans denim jacket though!

Stop number two was a consignment store in East Greenwich- Karma Couture. I had consigned a bunch of hand bags through them about a year ago, but had never bought anything. Fast forward to this past weekend—when I scored not one, but two pairs of fabulous jeans.

I found a pair of Joe’s Jeans that I am in love with—dark wash, unlike the other pair I own. For any ladies out there that like a little bit of a higher rise in your jeans, Joe’s are fabulous. I don’t need my jeans falling down when I bend over to pick up the kids! Winking smile

The other pair I found were a pair of butter yellow Rag & Bone skinny jeans. I know that colored denim is big this spring, but I just can’t rock a pair of neon yellow jeans. These are a nice yellow, not too loud.

Both pairs of jeans were about two-thirds of what I would have paid for just one pair brand new. I like Karma Couture, because the woman who owns it is VERY selective about what she takes in for merchandise. Everything is in excellent condition.

Did anyone else do any shopping this past weekend?
