I feel like summer is going by WAY too fast this year! I probably say that every year, but for some reason, it really seems that way this summer. It’s probably not helped by the fact that stores are already hawking back to school gear!

My husband and I talked earlier this year about activities we definitely wanted to do this summer. They include a myriad of activities in Rhode Island. We are trying to check things off the list, though it seems like the weekends are rapidly disappearing!

We have a trip planned to upstate New York for the last weekend in July. We go to a friends’ parents’ farmhouse in Ancramdale that is absolutely beautiful and relaxing in the summer. The house is surrounded by other dairy farms, so the kids will get a kick out of all the cows. The house has a beautiful pool and a little orchard as well. I can’t wait for some R&R there, and some miles of course!

In August, I will be headed to BlogHer 2012 sans family. This will be my first trip to the largest women’s blogging conference, and I can’t wait! It will be great to meet a lot of other bloggers and brands and there are a number of parties I am really looking forward to attending. I will also get to see my BFF on Thursday night before the conference. I haven’t seen her in WAY TOO LONG!

I would also like to take a trip up North again. We are planning on going to Vermont some time in September for a weekend, but I would really like to take the kids to Story Land in New Hampshire too. I think I went there once when I was little, though I can’t remember much. It looks like a super fun place for the boys, so we are going to go check it out.
