One of the most exciting (and important!) parts of blogging is choosing a theme. There are a TON of different themes for all of the different types of blogging platforms, but I have always used WordPress, so this article is going to focus on one of my all-time favorite theme developers– Bluchic!
Bluchic Themes Use Schema Data
One of the biggest differences I noticed when I switched to a Bluchic theme (I use the Isabelle theme) was an increase in my organic search traffic. The Bluchic themes have schema.org microdata built-in, making them super easy for search engines to crawl and index. When your site is more SEO-friendly, it means more organic search traffic from Google and other search engines! Schema.org microdata also pulls relevant snippets from your page or post to show in search results, so people are seeing the right text to make them click through to your blog article.
Bluchic Themes are E-Commerce Friendly
If you are planning to sell anything on your site (or think you might in the future), you definitely want to have a theme that is e-commerce ready. Bluchic themes are WooCommerce compatible, making them SUPER easy to use for selling physical and digital products. You can check out my Shop to see exactly what I’m talking about! I sell virtual products and items that are available for download, and WooCommerce makes the shole purchase and sale system painless.
Themes are Easy to Customize (and you can add landing page templates and social media graphics)
One thing you need to keep in mind when shopping for a theme is that you can always change things like the header image, fonts, and colors to reflect your brand. Bluchic makes it SO easy to change these design features, so you don’t need to be afraid of screwing up any of the code in your CSS! It’s as easy as visiting the Theme Options tab and plugging in your images and hex colors. You can also choose whether you want a sticky menu, two columns, snippets of posts on your homepage, whether you want a slider, etc. See how easy the customization process is in the video below:
Along with a beautiful and easily customizable theme, you can also purchase landing page templates from Bluchic. I use them for my e-books and mailing list, and I LOVE them! I really like that they fit seamlessly with the overall design of my theme. You can also grab coordinating social media templates that you can import into Canva. The set contains 15 templates (with 3 variations of each) and 10 styled stock photos to use. Check them out below:
Bluchic Has Excellent Tutorials and Support
One of the reasons it’s so important to choose a premium WordPress theme is the continued support and updates you receive from the developer, and Bluchic is no exception to this rule! I was blown away by how detailed and user-friendly the tutorials were for Bluchic themes. They walk you through each and every step of installing and setting up your theme– complete with videos!
All Bluchic Themes Have a Responsive Layout
There’s nothing worse than seeing a BEAUTIFUL WordPress theme and then checking it out on mobile only to find it’s not responsive and looks HORRIBLE. Yes, you can use plugins that will make a theme responsive, but the very best way to do it is to get a theme that is built with a responsive layout so it looks just as good on a smartphone as it would on a desktop. Google also penalizes sites that aren’t optimized for mobile, so don’t miss out on all of that mobile search traffic!
Don’t Forget to Choose a Reliable Hosting Service!
If you’re ready to choose a beautiful premium WordPress theme from Bluchic, do it! While you’re at it, make sure you are also using a reliable hosting service. In my almost 7 years of blogging, I’ve had the chance to try pretty much every hosting service out there and I can’t say enough good things about SiteGround. When I switched from WPEngine (whom I loved but they were too pricey!), the transfer process was SO easy and SiteGround made something I thought would be overwhelming totally PAINLESS!
The support team at SiteGround will walk you through each and every step of setting up your WordPress site or transferring from another host. Honestly– their online support is AMAZING! Hosting starts at just $3.95/month and you get an SSL certificate too!
